2016: We are still working on describing the microbiome of this species and its relationship to captive and reintroduced lifestyle. We are working to enhance reproduction past our present 30% in captivity. We are studying correlations between hormones and ultrasound to increase the predictability of female reproductive readiness. We are tracking individuals released into the wild to assess survival. How do they survive? How far do they move? What happens during the winter months?
